When I first started blogging, my primary goal was to add value to the lives of each and every person that read this blog. It’s a great goal to write read-worthy content, but if no one knows that you exist, then no gets any value out of the quality content you hope you’re producing. Along with other methods of getting this blog “out there”, adding my blog to directories was one of my avenues of approach. What I quickly started to realize was that most directories simply didn’t have an appropriate category for the topic of this blog and others like it. Usually, you would find blogs such as this listed under “Religion” when it has nothing in fact to do with religion. Nontheless, I continued to add myself to that category. Then one day I had a inspired thought. I love those. And whenever I get an inspired thought, I act on it, as I believe it is our higher source speaking to and guiding us. So from that inspired thought, I decided to create a Spiritual Directory right here on this site. I envision it to be a place that will be a great resource for all of my readers, as well as a place for other websites to submit their websites to be viewed by readers in their related genres.
My hope is that it will be a win-win situation for everyone; the greatest good of all. WOW! I love it when that happens. I hope that my readers will enjoy this new resource and that other websites will view it as a nice place to advertise their sites. The Spiritual Directory is still a work in progress. I have personally created categories that I thought would be fitting in the the “spiritual” genre, however, I am open to suggestions. I look at the directory as a work in progress and I’m definitely open to suggestions. So please feel free to leave a comment if there is a category you would like to see that is not presently listed.
Submission of your site to the Spiritual Directory is very simple. You can navigate to the page by clicking on “Directory” on the navigation bar, create an account, and add your site. All submissions will need to be approved before it appears, which will occur within 24 hours. To get things started I’ve created the following categories and added some great sites which can be viewed here:

That is a brilliant idea. Whenever I searched for spiritual blogs I always wondered why they were listed under ‘religion’. I hope many more will join you here.

Hi– yes, this is a great idea, reaching out like this. And great for us to be able to ‘give it away.’ When you hold onto a thing too tight, to long, it can’t grow, or expand. We keep hearing we are in exponential times, when we share our knowledge, our wisdom, our love at the same rate, who knows what’s possible for people. It’s the seemingly small acts such as this that make a huge difference. Thank you.
I am a writer, poet and coach. My blogsite is about my giving away what I have learned and am learning about my art. Art is spiritual activity. Where do you think it would fit in the directory Lotus or do we need another category?

OK everyone, it seems there is a minor registration glitch. I can still see when you sign up. I’m trying to work with tech support so the registration key will work without me. Sounds like a great idea in theory. In practice, however, it’s impossible to submit a site to the directory. I may have to skip this one so I don’t spend all day looking for the link to the submission form which may not exist. Thanks, anyway.
